    Little concerning Ryan was sitting at 90-92mph with his fastball which is down 2-3mph, but it's his first game back. Hopefully, the velo ticks back up in his next rehab start.

    I'm sorry. Matt Canterino, next 30 Cy Youngs in a row for sure. Clearly now MLB's Number 1 prospect. Fastball 100/80 Slider 100/80 Curveball 100/80 Changeup 100/80 Command 100/80 Best pitcher in the history of baseball. No faults. Everything is perfect.

    MLB and MiLB has these things called health insurance and workers compensation insurance. I'd be pretty stunned if the insurance rates were $250,000/year per player. MiLB coaches make $60k a year. Even if the Twins had a full time coach dedicated entirely to Matt Canterino (which is utterly insanely ludicrous), it'd only be $240k. Plus maybe $100k total in insurance.

    Exactly. Want to see the Twins play their games? Gotta live in Minnesota. That narrows down the ownership interest pool a hell of a lot. Trying to bury a ton of bad debt and force buyers to accept Joe Pohlad as a major component of the organization killed the Ishbia interest.

    Glad to see he's able to throw off the mound. I don't expect anything, but it would be fun to see him have some success as a reward for his hard work. The legend of Canterino has been pretty crazy around here. He had a great ERA and a super high K rate, but his BB rate soared at AA suggesting the stuff might not be what generated all the K's. It might have just been aggressive hitters in the lower minors.

    What did the Twins invest? The $1.1MM signing bonus would have been slot value for top of round 3 this year. The rest is basically just the Twins paying for his health care and miniscule MiLB salaries.

    That ugly, peeling paint gray shed with broken windows, a crumbled foundation, in the backyard is starting to fall over because of gaps. We need to replace it. Twins paint it hot pink (can was open return for 50% off) with no prep work, tape broken windows, spread sand into the foundation cracks, spray foams gaps. You... Tada!!! Fixed for $9.99! Great job!

    Kremer is a #6 rotation arm now that his velo has dropped, and that's what should have been expected. The Twins traded the equivalent of a PTBNL to get him and he's Arb eligible next year still. He's had 3 productive starts vs 2 bad starts. That's way better than the Twins should have expected. Just as good as Gausman has with the Cubs. There may be some value moving Kremer to the 'pen and seeing some velo increase since he has no options left. 100% a non-tender candidate if we don't work out a below arb expected contract.

    Diaw isn't a catcher, IMHO. He's got a 8% CS rate at 8 of 129 attempts. It's free base for anybody who wants it.

    I would have DFA'd Bell first to get out from under his buyout... and not allow the next GM the opportunity to use it.

    What is his team control worth? It's worth negative value. His arbitration value will be higher than his free agency value. Well, we could have and then both "vets" would have gotten the opportunity to join a playoff team. That would have been so horrible, right? To get a chance to sign with a team making a playoff run?

    They're not 3.5 games back. This isn't a division thing. They're 6 games under .500 with 5 teams ahead of them for the last Wild Card spot. The Twins are done.

    I see no legitimate reason MLB couldn't force an immediate hard cap/floor. I'd be catastrophic to the Dodgers, but nobody else.
