"Debby". Debby? Really? Debby?

Edited March 13, 2014 by ashburyjohn
unnecessary to take a swipe at the manager for a quote about a player

[Seth Stohs]

Yeah, part of me thought "I should just type "(He's) instead of Debby's." Oh well.

[Thrylos]

"Debby" or actually "Deiby" has been Romero's nickname throughout his pro career in the US. At this point Bartlett should be a mercy cut. I think that Colabello is fighting for Kubel's job. Add Escobar/Florimon, Parmelee and Suzuki/Pinto that that can just be the Twins' bench. Not too many options out there, esp for a second Utility job.

[TKGuy]

I believe that Colabello has to be a DH/RH off the bench for this team. He's earned it this spring, and I am certainly happy for him that he wanted to stay here instead of Korea. I heard Gardy talk about keeping 13 pitchers and now 2 utility infielders, which will just kill our bench.

I'd like to see them take Colabello north, I think he's earned it. Although we all know hitting in ST doesn't necessarily transfer to the regular season (see Hicks 2013). But yeah, he was pmki in AAA last year. I hope they don't pick Kubel over CC. Yes, I'm hoping Gardy says "Day-bee" not Debby (sigh).

[Shane Wahl]

The Twins almost need either Romero or Colabello as that RH bat on the bench. I don't think they are going to roll out with two utility infielders. That would be silly beyond anything Gardy would do.

Why buy three FA starters, then plan for 13 pitchers? If they aren't good enough to start 6+ innings......then they made some serious mistakes.

[Seth Stohs]

I think 13 starters is pretty unlikely at this point.

13 starters or 13 pitchers, Seth?

Really curious on this one.

[Willihammer]

Pinto looks better to me. Seems to be moving around less before the pitch, setting up early and holding more still.

Maybe Worley just needs to pitch on 12 days rest?

[Tibs]

Is Kubel on the 40 man? I don't think he is. Right now Colabello should be the DH over him whether he is or not.

Maybe Worley just needs to pitch on 12 days rest?

Or, Gardy/Andy need 12 days rest between his starts?
