James Verified Member Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 A thought just occurred to me. It is now September, which now means no matter how bad Ryan Presley may implode, there is pretty much no chance that we end up sending him back to the Red Sox. Rule 5 winner!
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Trout is hispanic? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/6e/AckbarStanding.jpg Actually I'm Mom Calamari (look it up Earthling)
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Ok, ,time to put more RISP......and then on to the 6th.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 I am never paying for mlb.tv again. Thankfully Comcast is giving me free extra innings ... not sure why ... not asking. I think this is only the second time I've had problems and I've probably tuned into at least 100 games so I can't complain even though is a critical game in the Twins run to finishing .500 for the season.

I really never have problems with my MLBTV, however there isn't much air traffic around here come to think of it.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 What a day ... and I come home to this ... Take that as you will. I am neither an 'apologist' nor a 'cynic' so perhaps it just is what it is.

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Ok Ploufee, let's see it when it matters.................sort of.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 And now I'm singing that 'Life of a Voyager' song. Heh. Good ol' Camp Olson days.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Ok Ploufee, let's see it when it matters.................sort of. I concede to the greatness of Trevor Plouffe, well played young man.
snepp Verified Member Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Plouffe + w/RISP = hit http://www.funnysigns.net/files/hell-froze-over-400x221.jpg
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Heh ... did you see Pinto signaling to Doumit to slide? No mistakin' that ... apparently someone has learned how you do it.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Just like we've all been sayin', Plouffe-sie has really stepped up this year.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Not bad Plouffie! Two RBI and hustling into second. Colabello, OTOH, had almost no chance.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Where is Camp Olson? Near Rochester? No, up north ... not far from Park Rapids just outside a small town, Longville, MN, on Little Boy Lake. We did canoe trips and whatnot.

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 So the ump just thought Pressley threw some kind of miracle pitch or what? How could you not see that hit that guy?
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 I just heard Bremmer say Ryan Pressly and his 5.7 K/9 was a power arm. Sometimes I get the feeling that Dick doesn't actually consult with the team regarding propaganda talking points, I get the feeling that Dick is actually the mastermind. Can I call Bremmer the Joseph Goebbels of the Twins organization without implying the Pohlad's are Hitler? Because I wouldn't feel comfortable going that far.
gil4 Verified Member Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 How could you not see that hit that guy? He might have ruled that the batter didn't make an effort to get out of the way, which means the ball is dead and the pitch is a ball (or a strike, if it was in the strike zone.) I've never seen it called that way in MLB before, but I have called it in lower level leagues if someone leaned into it. MLB hitters are usually pretty subtle about it, and it doesn't require a good effort, just an effort.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Ex-Twin note: Sean Henn is now pitching for the Giants. How many remember him?

Guest USAFChief Guests Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Some biting Dick analysis: "Starter Pedro Hernandez got 14 outs...and the bullpen will get the rest of 'em."
