snepp Verified Member Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 David Koresh is to the Branch Davidians what Bark's Lounge is to Plouffeism. I'll bring the marshmallows. Too soon?
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 I get it, but I retain a slight hope that the Plouffe situation will end less tragically. Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 I'm not a big fan of singing 'God Bless America' in the 7th inning. Frankly, even though Irving Berlin wrote it, I just don't think it's that great of a song.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Let's see, behind 5-2 after 7 and the Twins are 2-15 w/RISP. Someone give me a good reason to keep watching. Note: Being a masochist is not a good reason.
glunn Community Moderator Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 I wonder if I could get a medical marijuana prescription based on Twins induced anxiety?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Note: Being a masochist is not a good reason. But it's the only reason that makes sense.

Winston Smith Verified Member Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Over 1100 pa's Plouffie has this line, .230/.292/.383/.705, 85 ops+. If he wasn't great in the field, that doesn't work, ok he battles his tail off anyway.

He appears to have the tools to be a great player, but does not seem able to maintain focus.

Maybe they should change the words: "Please go and hit the ball,To drive in runs,When there's two on,With no outs,Keep you eye on the ball from above. From the grounders,To the pop ups,To the strike outs,All for nought,Please go and hit the ball,To drive in runs,Please go and hit the ball,To drive in runs."
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 I wonder if I could get a medical marijuana prescription based on Twins induced anxiety?I don't know if you can get a Marijuana prescription for T.I.A. - but I guarantee it helps tremendously.
glunn Community Moderator Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 I don't know if you can get a Marijuana prescription for T.I.A. - but I guarantee it helps tremendously. I think that it should be legalized at Target Field at any time that the Twins are hitting less than .200 with RISP. They should have a special area for those in need of medication.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Bobby, that is AMAZING!!! Well, there goes Bark's Lounge's career as a super hero.

They should have a special area for those in need of medication. They charge 7 or 8 bucks for a single beer at TF. I can't even imagine what they might charge for a single...uh...dose of medication.

Mostly I don't like the song because of the melody. It's difficult to sing well, unless you are Kate Smith. Kind of like the SSB ... also a difficult song to sing well and it bugs me when people jazz it up too much or sing it like a dirge.
glunn Community Moderator Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 At least Dozier seems to be showing some potential for a decent career.

glunn Community Moderator Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 At least today is a good day for a swim in the cement pond.

Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Carnac: "Yell Bingo at the top of her lungs." Ed: "Yell. Bingo. At the top of her lungs." //contrived "awkward" silence, with many practiced smirks between Johnny and Ed// Carnac: "Yes, oh crimson-nosed one. Yell Bingo." //more silence, punctuated by forced laughter// Carnac: //opens envelope// What does one sweet little old lady in an old folks home do to get another sweet little old lady to yell the "F" word at the top of her lungs?
