Grayson Rodriguez is a guy some have been talking about as a potential Lewis to Anaheim trade.

He's just our kind of guy, he has our first inning strategy down pat.

Your dream is about half right  😂

I am too lazy to look it up…… anyone know who was drafted ahead of Trout in 2009? He was 25th pick. Are they still active?

What an effective challenge

overall  i think the challenge system has added alot of positivity this year ,  fans at the park seem to get excited.   in manfred time it seems to be even better ,  i give it a b+

Wait….. the other night I asked what the sleeve was for on Lewis’s left arm? Tonight it is on the right arm, which I guess makes a bit more sense??

Get rid of the home plate umps all together and have computers running the game  …

they told us way back in high school that computers would take over people’s jobs …

Buxton should have had surgery at least 2 months ago

I expect he will return in great shape, but that it could take close to 9 months, putting his return at mid-June. With the lockout, maybe he'll benefit from rehabbing with his own people?

First pick was Stephen Strasburg. Wheeler was #6, AJ Pollock #17, Twins took K. Gibson at 22 and Randal Grichuk was #24. Everybody else was pretty marginal

The ownership has nothing to do with roster construction or player development.  What they can do is hire someone that is experienced and can put together a baseball operations staff that knows how to build a sustainable winning team.

And Zoll was a major contributor to a staff that has been unsuccessful in this for the last 10 years.  And many of his decisions this year leave most reasonable people questioning these decisions.

It’s pretty clear that the Pohlads have no clue how to hire the right person to run things, just like Glen Taylor with the Wolves.

Derek Falvey was hired because Jim Pohlad scrolled through Cleveland’s media guide. Never forget. Zoll was probably hired because he spent a little bit of his 20s in the Dodgers organization.

Thank you for the response! Twins had a shot….. but even if they took him they would have probably not been able to hold on to him….

With the lockout,--   no one knows  anything for sure .  with all the money involved ,  gonna settle quicker than ya think ?   nobody knows

It's like trying to figure out how he decides what his face paint design will be.

Well the T Wolves and Wild figured it out. Competent ownership matters a great deal in hiring/firing. The Pohlads want a country club lifestyle like Glen Taylor.

Twins would of made him a utility guy

2009   he would of replaced a guy named  Denard Span

If TC had picked Trout it's 50/50 they would have messed him up and he would have been out of US baseball years ago.

He was picked over Bloom who many have liked on here.  We will hopefully see if Tom can do better.

Falvey likely also was the candidate who most told Pohlad that he would run the organization the way the owners wanted.

I am sure we will get an update at some point about the recovery timeline, otherwise we are just guessing.

Like any job, you are going to be in alignment with your bosses and he was big on analytics which all the teams were starting to move to when he was hired.  And many on here have lauded all the work he did in restructuring the front office.

I can tell the future: Buxton will return when . . . . drumroll. . . .

he returns.

But I sure hope he takes at least nine months. Besides, if he returns in mid-June, he'll still have plenty of time to get his 90 games in and he might actually not break down before September.

I don't understand why the Morenos play Trout in CF and Siri in LF when Siri is a better defensive outfielder.

Because they don't make out the lineup card.

Jim Pohlad thought the long time Cleveland pitching pipeline was coming over here. Never did. Falvey never learned how to dig for oil to build a pipeline.

Actually, that isn't correct. Bad organizations hire people to tell the bosses what they want to hear. Good organizations hire people to tell them what they don't know. You're confusing being courteous with being subservient.

Falvey did do some good things, but a lot of them were low-hanging fruit, because the Terry Ryan era Twins were one of the most backwards teams in baseball, using strategies from the 1990s and no technology to compete with teams using strategies and technology from the 2010s.
