Will we even remember the name Doug Bernier?

It got me thinking about other former Twins that have been called up briefly and looking through past rosters I had absolutely no recollection of Keith Garragozzo, Mike Milchin, Mike Duvall, David Lamb, Jose Rodriguez, Carmen Cali, Jose DePaula, or Ryan Jorgensen.

I was shocked to realize I actually remembered specific moments from guys like Jon Shave, Dan Masteller, and Oscar Munoz.

This is why I'm befuddled as to why he is up right now. It's a nice story, and I'm happy for Mr. Bernier, but is there any reason Dozier/Escobar and Florimon/Escobar shouldn't be manning the MI every day? And shouldn't Plouffe and Morneau be playing every day at the corners? And shouldn't Hicks, Arcia and Parmelee by playing every day in the outfield? What more do any of those players have to prove by sitting on the bench/playing in Rochester? ALL of those players are more important to the Twins long-term success and health than Bernier, yet Bernier continues to get AB's.

I don't think you can really say he "continues to get AB's" when he's had 5 total ABs.

He's clearly up to ride the bench and provide a spot start when Florimon or Dozier need a break. Escobar is going to be better served from playing every day in AAA than riding the MLB pine.

[h=2]3 years from now[/h]The Twins will probably be coming off their 5th 90 loss season. The great news is that Miguel Sano is slated to open the season and make his professional debut. Also, Byron Buxton will be making his AAA debut. Thank god that the Twins will never call up a player before he is ready. Too bad they didn't try that with Carlos Gomez and Aaron Hicks...

If that list is anything to go by its going to be about a decade until he slips my mind, everyone who you mentioned after 2002 I remembered. Didn't mention my personal favorite, Armando Gabino.

Every team will get more media coverage because global warming will cause the seas to rise and Boston and NY will be underwater.

Rick Anderson will have converted Trevor May and Alex Meyer to pitch-to-contact starters.

Ryan Braun will deny using PEDS

Anthony Weiner will be apologizing and saying that behavior is behind him

The more things change the more they stay the same

3 Years from Now: The Twins will lead the American League in HRs and RBIs and send 4 people to the All Star game. I said to have faithand that Correia wouldn't suck and would adapt to AL enough to eat up innings and (I was right). Never said he would be star, but he definitely was worth the money. Now I'm saying we (Twins) will be a vastly improved team in 2016 (Have Faith). YOUNG GUNS on the WAY

The season is nowhere near over. 5M a year for two years for a FA pitcher...with what pitchers past arbitration get these days, doesn't take much for a FA pitcher to be worth that money. Right now, he's right at league average even with the great April. Everyone seems so eager to jump on the Correia was a good signing boat when he had the good month and hasn't been that good, at all, since. And really who cares if he was worth that small salary, we needed to greatly improve.
