Well sure. I got problems, but reading ain’t one of them. And it was in the article again. I also remember  Bradley had a couple great games in a row….. and Ober had a couple. Point is still the same. You have to be Abel to stay on the field.  😇. And it takes more than a couple games, a lot more, to engage in serious ace chatter. We might not see that now until 2028. (Surgery this year and out all next then too…. ST 2028…. )

Would be great to see it happen, though, eh? Then we could trade him to do the minor league prospect dance for another 3 years.

I read about Tait’s recent 11 game hot streak all the way up in A ball, too. Also read that brings him up to .217 on the year.

Best thing about your post "Abel to stay on the field"! I just formed my own judgement based on his last start last year, the 13 zeros in a row this year and not on statistics but watching his whole game. In my judgement, he has great stuff that needs a little refinement. And yes, he does need to stay healthy, the vexing problem of so many major league pitchers. I agree he has ace potential but whether he lives up to that is another question.

Let's all hope he's not next in line for a TJ job. That would suck tremendously. Fingers crossed.

I believe his injury is shoulder related not that it’s any better (it might be worse).

Bobby N:

Mick Abel had a setback with his recovery after his 20-pitch bullpen session Friday and won’t return from the IL this week.

He will undergo an MRI when the team returns to Minnesota.

Tommy John incoming? Or maybe rotator cuff?

The report that broke the news about the MRI states that he woke up with elbow soreness and the team chose to shut him back down on account of that.

It also states that the injury which led him to be put on the IL was elbow-related.

Shows what I know 😀

On the bright side, elbow issues in general are better than shoulder issues.

Not that either is good, if course.

Yep they seemed to have elbows figured out whereas the shoulder stuff seems like a crapshoot.
