nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I didn't care for Golday because he can't cover. Didn't they just replace Ivan Pace with Ivan Pace?

Wilson probably will be gone after this year, and good chance Cahsman is too. But definitely my least favorite of the LB options that were realistically draftable there.

He's a good 5 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier (6'4 240 lbs). I had him at the end of Round 2, another top tier athlete who needs development time. Probably backs up in 2026 and takes over for Cashman in 2027. I think it's a fine pick, but CB/S had better values and players who can contribute now. TheLeviathan 1

But outside of Center, I don't think there's a player left in the draft that would get a significant role this year. These coaches just don't tend to play rookies..
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Greenard for two 3rds? Prior to the off season I might not have thought too hard about it. How is Dexter Lawrence worth the 10th overall pick and Greenard is only worth two 3rds? TheLeviathan 1
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 25 Posted April 25 So we moved Greenard for what is essentially a high 4th round pick and a next year 3rd. Not good value there... I was hoping for a 2nd rounder this year. nicksaviking, TheLeviathan and DocBauer 3

TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I see what they like about Golday - athletic freak, former DE with pass rush ability, incredible talent if he is free to make plays. LBs for Flores need his skillset. I bet we look back favorably on this pick. Mike Sixel and DocBauer 2
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted April 25 Posted April 25 At least we didn't use pick 65 on Carson freaking Beck. flpmagikat, Danchat, nicksaviking and 1 other 3 1

Reports were that for some reason, whichever LeFluer is now coaching the Cardinals was really pushing Jimmy Garoppolo to follow him to AZ. Seems like he got his Garoppolo after all. TheLeviathan 1
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 25 Posted April 25 The big positive in trading Greenard is on next year's salary cap. I like it slightly more thinking about that.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 25 Posted April 25 WTF, the Eagles are drafting again? How in the hell didn't the Vikings at least get this pick instead of the one at the end of round 3? When KOC and Brazynski came up with this no-GM plan, the Wilfs should have said, fine, but under no circumstances can you have a conversation with Howie Roseman. Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25 Posted April 25 The Greenard trade is awful. Hate everything about it.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 25 Posted April 25 And there you go, the Vikings go for a NT and have 3 starters in Redmond, Banks, and Orange. I had Big Citrus in Round 3 so I'm fine with that... but they've passed on some guys I really would have liked to take.

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Greenard signed a 4/$98 MM extension with Philly. Not even $25 million AAV and that's the sticker price which is not the reality of the contract. What the actual F are the Vikings doing? flpmagikat 1
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 25 Posted April 25 So the Dolphins have no passing game and used their third round picks on a 6th round WR and blocking TE Danchat 1
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Holy cow, skill position reaches are flying off of the board. Edit: Zavion Thomas isn't on anybody's board because he's a gadget WR, I don't think he even runs routes. I bet Ben Johnson and the Bears try to make him a satellite RB.

He's #327 on my board, legitimately a kick return-only player. Not even a good college WR. And then the 49ers blow yet another mid-round pick on a bad RB prospect in a bad RB class, maybe RB10-12 in this class. Every year they spend a significant pick on RB in round 3-5 and never use the guy. It's so bizarre. nicksaviking 1
