Well, we disagree on the major league development responsibilities of the manager and his staff - particularly for small/mid-market teams like the Twins that cannot rely on proven big leaguers acquired via free agency.

If I give Shelton a fair chance or not doesn't really matter. If he gets the Twins to develop and on a solid path towards success I will praise him, if he fails to do so I will wonder why he was hired in the first place.

Do you think this changes the fact that Shelton has a .410 winning percentage as a manger, which is one of the worst in MLB history?  

You could say that about any of the other candidates, the twins hired many of the other candidates that were hired by other teams or interviewed for other teams.
