It’s apparently a “point of emphasis” this year. Which I don’t hate. All the flexing and taunting looks ridiculous on average plays.

Point of emphasis is just bias and judgment for each ref crew. Which the NFL doesn't need any more of.

Playing defense in 2025 NFL is impossible. Is he supposed to be a super human jumping out of the way of contact if it's decided the pass isn't catchable?

If he played the letter of the law on that play he would have given Ferguson every opportunity to catch that ball before contact. This game is played within milliseconds so what is he supposed to do in real time?

Cowboys hung in much better than expected. Some team has to find a way to neutralize Hurts or the eagles are going to be the team to beat again. Obviously they are the defending champs, but knocking them out is going to be difficult until it’s figured out how to stop the qb

Watched the game recap this morning. CeeDee Lamb with some brutal drops last night. Especially on that deep pass late in the 4th quarter. Yikes.

Yeah, and he's as reliable a WR as they come, so hopefully that's just an omen for the Cowboys season.

Not that I was cheering for the Eagles. Gross. Why did I bother watching that game? I should have cheered harder for the thunderstorm.

I just watched the first half then went to bed. Wasn't gonna wait out the rain delay for 2 teams I don't care for... Dak looked pretty good last night and deserved better from his receivers. 

What I am most concerned about are the new point of emphasis taunting calls. Giving the refs even more power to influence the outcome of games.

Right. That 'taunting' call last night was garbage. Clearly the league feels comfortable once again telling these young men to to shut up and comport themselves strictly in the manner a certain demographic most prefers.

This YouTube broadcast has been really clean from a picture standpoint. 4K quality which means FOX and NBC are on notice. FOX especially because they're still broadcasting in 720P for some reason. Not a huge fan of Rich Eisen as the main play by play guy but whatever.

That's a bit of an overstatement. He was involved in street racing and the other driver crashed. That driver was really, really drunk as well. Carter shouldn't have been doing that but there's a mile of difference between doing something that stupid and killing someone.
