Pitching is going to carry us. Just need to hold out until our guys get healthy again. Buck, Correa, Bader, Wallner and Keaschal. This could be a really potent lineup in the second half. Hopefully Mccusker is up and crushing too! Fortunately, fans opinions, have zip to do with how the team performs.
shimrod Verified Member Posted May 17, 2025 Posted May 17, 2025 Last night was the first game I've been able to watch in a few weeks. Thanks to MLBtv blackouts and some personal travel I missed the first 11 games of the winning streak. What happened to the team I was watching earlier this year? Lousy defense, base running blunders, incompetence at the plate - team looked like a basket case. We sent a couple guys down and brought in a couple more with worse pedigrees but who developed outside the Twins organization, so perhaps better schooled on fundamentals. Was a little bit of accountability all we needed? Sheer luck? Rocco suddenly learned how to manage? I'm sincerely curious what turned this around.

A team that started this poorly, with injuries like this, and their stars struggling is exactly the recipe that causes a team to just tank a season. The fact this team stayed together, rallied, and got scrappy is a data point Twins fans should consider in Rocco's favor. We don't see the actions that stop that spiral, but we see the results on the field. He should be getting more credit from folks. (Especially those who blame him for everything that goes wrong. If they have any integrity in their opinions) Dman 1
