My thoughts exactly and it's a point I've raised before.

Regardless of what one thinks of Rocco's managerial decisions, the players on the field need to perform regularly to at least a semi-competent level.  Except for the 1, 2, and 3 starters, and maybe Jax, that's something we've seen very little of since the end of the '23 season.  And from the looks of it, there probably isn't much coming to significantly help the situation anytime soon.

We need to start putting more on the players to perform the way they're supposed to.

And it's Rocco's job to get them to perform.  Tom Kelly would turn over in his grave.(If he were dead).

Without belaboring the point, it's high time we start blaming some of the players we have for performing up to a minimum standard.  Everything bad happening in the field is not all Rocco's fault, as some of us here so badly want to believe.

Did the players play in on their or did Rocco call that from the dugout not once but twice.  Did France go on contact yesterday on his own.  These are just two examples of Rocco not giving his players a chance to be successful.  Yes Correa needs to play better, but he is not the reason we have the record we do.

Is there anything to be gleaned from the lack of Edouard Julien the last two games?

Rocco is responsible for all those calls, whether we like it or not.  If the players are making the bad decisions on their own, then Rocco has to straighten them out between innings and between games.  It can't continue.

Yes.  Devine intervention.

The Assumption would be someone like Bride or Gasper will be sent down when Royce is recalled.

Yeah, he's been playing poorly. Wouldn't shock be if he is the one who ends up going down for Lewis tomorrow/Tuesday.

Those plays come from the dugout.

And they are bad decisions at the rate Rocco makes them.  Yet you want to blame only the players.

This is the Twins season in a nutshell...

The tough part is Crochet is not at his best today, but we’re just not able to take advantage. You would like to think lead off walks to the 8 and 9 hitters would lead to a big inning. Nope!

Provus. Made some noise. No, they didn't.

The noise was from the stands.  Groans from not scoring with runners in scoring position again.

Lousy manager,  plus Twins lack of clutch hitting = losing season.  Twins lack top end talent and speed but the manager isn't doing the team any favor with positioning or spin the line-up roulette.

More interesting stats.  Twins relievers are 3-10 while Cleveland relievers are 10-2

Reflects as much on Cleveland batting (see last night) as Twins pitching.
