Against the NO Rattlers.  I'm not impressed

I hope to never see the Vikings look as offensively inept as the bears have most of the year. It’s bad bad,

I think Mr Williams QB talent is greatly exaggerated.  College baller game that doesn't translate to the NFL.

The never ending greed of the NFL to have 3 games on a holiday and put them all on streaming sites 😂

Someone should whisper in their ear about their anti-trust exemption and how it could go bye-bye.

Idk man the arm talent is clearly there. The Bears didn’t operate a real offense this year. For our sake as Vikings fans, I hope it remains that way. If he gets a coach that knows what he’s doing, then I’ll start to worry.

Yeah, I think he could still be really, really good.

But I'm also thrilled that just about all the coaches talked about as HC candidates are defensive coaches. I don't know who they chase if Ben Johnson doesn't go there, and popular opinion is that he most cares about non-meddling ownership and smooth front office collaboration making the Bears not a match.

I'm not sure what other offensive minds you'd grab. Bobby Slowik was a hot name last year, but I'm not sure after this year. Also, if he's a Kyle Shanahan guy, he's absolutely not a fit for Caleb Williams. Shanahan's system calls for strictly a pocket passing game-manager who will call the plays exactly as drawn up. That takes away about 70% of what makes Williams an exciting prospect.

If the Browns were to fire Kevin Stefanski, that would probably be an awesome fit, but fortunately, Stefanski just signed an extension and the Browns are notorious for not eating salary. The Bengals are pretty much the same so I doubt they fire Zach Taylor with a year left on his deal.

I wouldn't be surprised if they steal Wes Philips from the Vikings. He doesn't call the plays in Minnesota though so I could totally see that ending up the way Brad Childress ended up. Maybe Joe Judge in Buffalo gets another look? Sounds like a bad idea (good). Joe Lombardi in Denver? Sounds like a boring choice. The GB OC maybe? He's put in three years as a coordinator now but his background is a run game/OL coach, not a QB developer.

Anyway, long way of saying Chicago may have way more landmines to avoid than jackpots to hit.

Cincy's OC, Dan Pitcher, will get some calls. He was the QB coach for Burrow and then promoted to OC.

Caleb Williams has a ton of talent, but when he's under pressure his accuracy becomes abysmal and he overthrows too often. He has speed, but doesn't have the knack to know when to run and get that free yardage. The coaching has been terrible too and the OL has been questionable, but even in well blocked games he stinks. There was an earlier game where he was pressured only 9 times... and got sacked 7 times! It's also up for debate how much of a leader he is because his body language reminds me more of a college freshman rather than a leader of an NFL locker room.

Still way too early to give up on him and there is tons of room for growth, but he is a massive project at this point. They basically drafted the next version of Justin Fields and fired their coach right after taking him just like the previous regime did.

That’s very concerning. Until further notice I am withholding judgement on him until he gets a real play caller teamed up with him. Who knows, maybe he’s our backup QB rehab project 4 years from now.

I listened to Norse Code IIRC and a Bears beat reporter said the coaching staff didn’t teach Williams anything from a footwork standpoint in training camp. They were severely understaffed to coach up a new QB and that’s very clear now after firing their OC and HC mid season.

They didn't teach him footwork? Inconceivable.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. I would be surprised if they also had taught him how to progress through his reads and how to call audible protections at the line of scrimmage too.

I can't believe they kept Eberflus last year.

I'm glad they kept him because he helped keep the bears down.  That's a good thing.

It would be bad for the game if the Bears ruined and continue to ruin a generational talent.

But good for the Vikings, so I'm on board.

Triple header and I don’t have the NFL network. Sign up and tune in just in time to see drake maye heading to the locker room so this game will be a dud probably 🤦‍♂️ the NFL is absurd with continuing to put these games on different networks every week. Guess I’m the idiot for paying for it 😂

How does Cincy give up TD there.  Sad.

Ironically, in trying not to score, the bengals RB getting injured is why we’re in overtime
