gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 The Browns have beaten both Baltimore and Pitt. Any given Sunday, I guess.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 I've always been a Pittsburgh and Tomlin fan, but that team is so dang stubborn. I know conventional wisdom says to run in those conditions, but they were constantly getting stuffed on the big plays. And for good reason, they only have average RBs and Cleveland has a stout front seven. Not to mention that everyone knows Pittsburgh WANTS to run the ball. In games with bad footing, the WRs have the biggest edge out of any position as they're running forward and the defenders trying to cover them are running backwards. Wilson had a 75% completion rate, they should have been passing more than they were running, and by a lot. gunnarthor, TheLeviathan and Mike Sixel 3
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Of course Brock Purdy may not play when the 49er's play Green Bay. Ugh, I hate the Packers.

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 Nobody cares, but I am in a must win fantasy matchup going up against Saquon Barkley. This isn't going to end well for me.

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 The new market inefficiency in the NFL... The NFL is cyclical and I expect a focus on RB again like the late 90's/early 2000's. Aggies7 1

gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2024 Author Posted November 25, 2024 Giants are in full meltdown mode. Star rookie wide reciever is really unhappy on not getting a catch until the second half when they were already down 30-0. As bad as Jones was, Jones got him the ball, he's 7th in receptions this year. https://www.bigblueview.com/2024/11/25/24294703/brian-daboll-tries-to-smooth-over-criticism-of-play-calling-by-malik-nabers-new-york-giants This is the killer quote: “Obviously, it ain’t the quarterback,” Nabers said. “Same outcome when we had DJ at quarterback. Take a look: It ain’t the quarterback.” “I don’t know what it is,” Nabers said. “Everybody knows better than me.” Can't imagine Daboll is back next year. Lot of coaching vacancies coming up. Yeah, they need to clean house. But he's wrong about the QB play. Nabers is a big play downfield threat, and neither of the QBs throw downfield. Wan'Dale Robinson is having a career year (low bar, I know), rookie Theo Johnson is quietly second amongst rookie TEs in targets and Tyrone Tracy is getting three targets per game since he got the starting job. These QBs look short and go to the dump off option early. Considering Daboll's last QB before coming to NY, I'm guessing that's not exactly what he'd like to see.

I simply cannot stand wide receiver divas. I hope Addison keeps a lid on his diva-ness. I feel like it’s bubbling just below the surface. Other receivers can learn from JJ. Also, Daniel jones stinks and quite honestly, I think mullens is better than he is. I’ve seen enough giants games to make that statement. I see no point in signing him. gunnarthor 1

I mean he’s wildly careless with the ball. But he can also throw 4 tds and 375 yards out of nowhere. He’s a backup. But jones is too, in reality. He was just drafted too highly to be one in New York. I don’t see how it would be an upgrade. Especially in season.

There’s no shortage of teams in bad QB spots (your jets included). But people said that it was a reach to draft him that high and now the results have kind of proven that. I’m not sure why the Vikings would move off a guy who’s been here three years and knows the system. Plus, hey he came off the bench and completed a huge pass yesterday. I know it was a glorified dump off but it’s nice to have a guy who knows what’s going on and can step in like that gunnarthor and Hosken Bombo Disco 2
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 There is a video going around of the Giants owner saying he really wanted to hang on to Saquon Barkley, but the Giants GM telling him "nah, I have a plan to build around Daniel Jones" Hey, at least that fan base has a few super bowls under their belt.
