Looking at the bullpen for tonight and... oof.

Anything can happen, but any somewhat close game is gonna feel pretty precarious.

I saw Louie Varland pitch against the Triple-A Iowa Cubs last weekend.  He took care of business last Saturday night, but the last place I-Cubs didn't put up too much of a fight.  I hope he can navigate Cleveland's best hitters (Jose Ramirez, Steven Kwan, and Josh Naylor) and avoid the long ball.  Tonight promises to be entertaining.  At 0-4 in the majors, Varland is due for a better game.

Went to a true doubleheader at Metropolitan Stadium around 1976-77 against the Orioles.  Butch Wynegar hit a homerun.

Louie apparently made some adjustments down in AAA. Using the upper part of the zone more for his fastball.

Jax threw 12 pitches. Duran threw 14. I guess they could be used tonight. But likely going to be Sands in a big spot.
