Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 It was recreation, and a little exercise... A little?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Just turned on the game and peaked at the box. That's a "1" next to strikeouts for KC, right? It only looks like a 7? Hes been doing good... 1 Mistake to Worth.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Watching the Nats' broadcast. They just informed us Jamie Carroll is one of two players to have his uniform number retired by the AAA Ottawa Lynx. Kinda cool, I guess, but I gotta believe most ballplayers would prefer not to have spent enough time at a AAA stop to get their number retired.

He also probably wishes that if his number was honored enough to be retired... It wouldn't be with a club that is also retired.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Nice play Zimmerman. Yeah... dang It... I watch Zimmerman play D... And Lawrie as well... They help teams a lot.
snepp Verified Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 It's approximately 196 degrees outside in Tucson. After factoring in the wind chill. It's been raining non-stop here for the last 12 hours or so.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Dang it Florimon... Dang it... You can't let that thru
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 It's been raining non-stop here for the last 12 hours or so. So... It's like Wild Water West all over town.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 ugh. Good thing I'm leaving for work soon
snepp Verified Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Yeah we've had a lot, but just a few miles south of here they've had 3x as much. They got 10 inches over 48 hours on Memorial weekend.

At leastthey stranded the yellow dot at third.

The leadoff single was smoked, but the base hit that scored the tying run was a chopper off the plate on a good pitch. Bad luck and iffy defense didn't help, but can't blame that on Correia.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Don't like pinch running for Morneausie.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Dang it... lucky Nat Pitcher... Dang it.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Well... at least we're doing the little things right. Small ball.

Just seems like the Twins starters are giving up one-run leads in the 6th and 7th a bit more often than they should. Gardenhire is probably so thrilled to see a guy last that long that it's hard to pull the plug. And given how hard the bullpen has been ridden at times, that probably factors into the call. Just please, please, please, no post-game Gardy comments about Correia's divine right to stay in...

mikeee Provisional Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Bummer for Correia after some of the bone head plays. He pitched good again.
