They just showed replay on Nats b'cast. Late break by Thomas, looks in cause it's a hit n run so he's not running full out, SS broke to cover, Zimmerman gets rid of the ball in flash, and there you go. 5-6-3.

The generic run expectancy table said we were owed more than a run in that situation. My personal 2011-13 Twins run expectancy table was thinking maybe at best a 1 in 10 chance we scratch one out, so much so that I wasn't even disappointed...

I'll tread carefully here... But the key hit at the key time is what baseball is all about.

 

The Key Pitch at the right time... The Catch and throw at the right time.

 

The rest of the game is just stat filler in most cases.
