KirbyHawk75 Verified Member Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Does he have any chance of winning AL Rookie of the Year? To be honest, other than the Twins and my fantasy I have not had the time to follow MLB as much as usual.

tony&rodney Verified Member Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 There are 63 games remaining and it is unlikely that Julien gets 400 at bats this year. Thus the players mentioned by FlyingFinn already have a firm lock on the race for ROY in the AL.

No doubt they have a lead but Julien is rising fast and still has 2+ months of the season remaining. If they slow down somewhat and Julien continues at his pace, he'll have the numbers that the award voters like. It could happen, sure. Longshot still. At a glance, Wil Myers in 2013 might be the model. Royce Lewis and Matt Wallner, probably no shot, even if Lewis comes back from injury and resumes his pace. FlyingFinn 1

stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Perhaps he could make the top two, which would be good for him. He would get credit for a full year of service time, which would grant him free agency a year earlier.
