And expect to do anything this year. The old rule of every team wins 60 games and every team loses 60 games always (almost) applies so the occasional offensive outburst means nothing. It is baseball after all. The Twins simply don't have enough consistent talent and definitely don't have a manager that can compensate for that.  See what the pitcher that the brilliant front office got for Arraez does tonight. The offense speaks for itself.

They can lose 3 out of 4 to anyone and they can win 3 out of 4 to anyone. 

It's the way baseball has worked since the beginning of time. 

The offensive struggles of this team and the great pitching we are getting are going to be in play no matter who we face.

no logic for Oakland, who was 12-50 to sweep Milwaukee last week, then beat TB twice. Except that the games are still played on the field, not in the stat book.

Twins suddenly, as a team have stopped not only hitting but making contact. The k's have been very discouraging. Two guys who should be leading the way offensively (Buxton and Gallo) are leading the way in ks...in record numbers, Twins can't hit with bases loaded. They collectively are in a huge funk. So far the rest of the division isn't going anywhere either but eventually teams like Cleveland and Chicago will wake up and leave Twins in the dust, unless they figure out how to make contact with the ball.

Last night Arraez got 5 hits and Lopez gave up 5 runs in 5.2 innings. What a coincidence.

I wouldn't be worried about this series at all if it wasn't a part of a larger trend, great teams get rolled by trash teams all the time. But the Twins haven't looked like a great team and this doesn't look like much of a fluke.
