mikeee Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Burton makes me nerveous, lately...
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Nah, it's those new episodes of Big Bang and Two and a Half Men. No spoilers, please. I'm on the west coast feed.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 And that one is just starting so Burton and Perk need to end this one quick. You are forgetting. This game is in Baaaaaston. Games go 3:45 here when less than 10 runs are scored.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 This is not good. Fish-themed hitter.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Wife's birthday... Had Dinner with the family. Straining to watch the game in the far corner and saying "what" a lot when people were talking to me. cuz I was unfocused trying to watch the game. What? I'm watching the game.
Physics Guy Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 But on the subject of sit coms... Taxi is still my all time favorite. Barney Miller was the best sit com theme. M*A*S*H for me. Never appreciated it when I was a kid but got hooked during re-runs.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 When I went off to dinner, I was afraid we would regret burning Duensing so soon, in case we needed him to face Ortiz. Turns out, Gardy left him in and got Ortiz for the final out. With a lefty closer, it'll probably be Perk vs. Papi.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Oh we can't do sitcoms every night. We need a fresh side topic idea and it usually arrives fairly naturally. Like when you mentioned the outrageous price of rutabagas in Grand Forks last week.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 This is not good. Fish-themed hitter. The law of the fish.... The big ones eat the little ones, the little ones need to be quick.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 M*A*S*H for me. Never appreciated it when I was a kid but got hooked during re-runs. I liked the Trapper John, and Mclean(sp) Stevenson years.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Be C A R E Full with Carp. Because they Multiply fast and eventually overrun the ecosystem and as an added bonus. They will jump out of the water and nail water skiers in the face.
GCTF Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Now that the Habs are safely eliminated I have time for the 9th. Just the 9th.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 M*A*S*H for me. Never appreciated it when I was a kid but got hooked during re-runs. Actually, I loved all three of those shows. I may be the only Steve Landesberg fan in Minnesota, but I loved his character. DeVito was great as Louie, and M*A*S*H* was great until it got too preachy. I agreed with what they were preaching, but it wasn't as entertaining.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Like when you mentioned the outrageous price of rutabagas in Grand Forks last week. Yeah... Just a natural unforced conversation. And the prices are outrageous.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 M*A*S*H* was great until it got too preachy. So you gave up after the first episode? Quitter.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Like when you mentioned the outrageous price of rutabagas in Grand Forks last week.Or the recounting of the SWAT team episode.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I missed the Twins' error.... Gladden had commented that they had not had an error in 11 games, and then there was a big deal about jinxing it... d'oh!
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Actually, I loved all three of those shows. I may be the only Steve Landesberg fan in Minnesota, but I loved his character. DeVito was great as Louie, and M*A*S*H* was great until it got too preachy. I agreed with what they were preaching, but it wasn't as entertaining. Count me as #2 Landesburg fan in MN.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Breslow is on!! Former twin! We had fun with Breslow last night, as I recall. / edit: I recalled wrong. Two nights ago.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I liked the Trapper John, and Mclean(sp) Stevenson years. Burns > Winchester
mikeee Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 We had fun with Breslow last night, as I recall. wish I woulda been there!
Physics Guy Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Love what I see from Arcia, but he's only 22 and I worry what he might look like at 27/28. He's already pretty thick.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 wish I woulda been there! I goofed, it was the 6-1 win.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Escobar needs to make-up for his error.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 So you gave up after the first episode? Quitter.Loved the movie (and the book). Wasn't sure about the series, but the replacements were very good. I loved Harry Morgan as Potter and Larry Linville was a great character. I wish he would have stayed.
