I like Miranda as an option for a ridiculous deal, but I wouldn't take it if I was him. I like all of those guys as options if they are healthy this year.

None at this time.  Only possible consideration would be Arraez, others have plenty of remaining control and are not superstars.

If Miranda puts together a great year, he would also be a candidate next offseason.

Good one. I'd do three years, tearing up this year. Not sure he would......he's probably a 20MM a year player in FA, if not 25.

I think Miranda, Kirilloff, and Duran could be candidates a year from now if they have healthy productive years, but it is too early otherwise.  Lewis I would wait on until end of 24 assuming he is playing and doing well.  Arraez they will not extend.  They don't think he will age well, he has no defensive position, and I do think they might use him for trade bait given the young guys coming up.  Thanks for jumping in and posting a topic.

I agree completely. Arraez has really bad knees and I'm guessing will have a nice career and retire at 35 TOPS

I know that's the rumor but it makes much more sense to extend him. The way things are right now he's worth a couple of so so lottery tickets. He our best SP right now, lets keep him instead of a couple of lottery tickets.

Good idea, but what happens if his fastball just keeps getting hammers? He needs to show us he can throw good off speed consistently

There's a risk he implodes, for sure... but I think he's worth the rather marginal risk of buying out one FA year and getting an option for another.
