Chachi Verified Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 CC is exactly the type of performer the Twins (or any division contender) should be trying to trade FOR in the middle of a playoff race to improve the team and chances in the post-season. We have him now and it didn't cost us a single prospect. We're a step ahead! Let's use those assets to get the pitching we need to further improve our chances during the season we are currently navigating and enjoying. Mike Sixel 1

Maybe the old farts can complain about Brunansky for Herr. The bad trade threads start in about 2 weeks. If they trade for a reliever they will start 15 seconds after the first blown lead. The “we could have had that player” usually will start within minutes of the trade announcement Unwinder and Mike Sixel 2
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Having waded through all this, of course the ‘why’ of this trade is getting an incredible return from a team Correa would accept a trade with. Who’s holding their breath for that?
old nurse Verified Member Posted July 28, 2022 Posted July 28, 2022 The Cubs got a 19 year old kid who is now a top 30 prospect playing in A+ ball for Baez and a below average relief pitcher. Correa could net a very good prospect and relieve the Twins of a middling ,middle reliever
