ScottyB Verified Member Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 It definitely puts me in a better mood. But think about this - if the Twins had won 2 of those blown losses, they’d have a 7 game lead over the Guardians. If they had won three of the blown games, they’d have a very comfortable 9 game lead over the Guardians. The upcoming games against the Sox are crucial to go at least 4-3 and preferably 5-2. We currently have a 5.5 game lead over the Sox. Each game is a two game swing. The difference between going 2-5 vs going 5-2 would be a 2.5 game lead or an 8.5 game lead over the Sox. (Obviously this doesn’t take into consideration the two series between the two series with the Sox).
