nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Im annoyed but still want to play. My new prediction is Mafe and Christian Watson at 32 and 34.

I am frustrated they didn't go for a blue chipper like Johnson or Hamilton. I’m frustrated that Williams, Davis, and Hamilton were there for us and we passed them up.

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Marquise Brown from the Ravens to Cardinals, AJ Brown from the Titans to Eagles... and then Dotson at #15!! The draft is officially going haywire.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 The Eagles got AJ Brown and a third for 18.....the Cardinals got Hollywood Brown for 23. How stupid must the Cards feel?

I don't think Burks will be as good as Brown.

He's not even a legit number 1 IMO.

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Kenny Pickett QB 1 off the board. Meh…
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Weird to see Willis and Jermaine Johnson still on the board at 22.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Based on how trade values have been, shouldn’t the Vikes be able to trade #32, a used Ford Focus and a fruit cake to move back up and get Johnson?

Honest question, and I’m just a football rube, but how do you get to “awful” from this? “I'd do 12 for 29 and 30 (I think.....but, risky)”

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Good lord, I thought they showed a video of a morgue on ESPN. But it was just the old, pale, half-dead men in the Cowboys draft room.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 It just seems tone-deaf to me.. just draft a player! All Spielman ever did was trade down in the draft and subsequently underachieve in the playoffs. You'd think someone like Adofo-Mensah would do their homework on what fans in this market have witnessed prior, and introduce himself by zagging the opposite way instead of zigging the same old way?
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Lloyd, Johnson, Wyatt, Dean, Willis, Watson, Mafe. There, I talked myself into being OK with 7 different players from pretty much all positions. I should be easy to please.

Think about it this way....what if this team walks away with Lloyd and Mafe with the two picks? Is the 46/66 thing a big enough deal to insist they had taken Hamilton? For me? No way. We might land two impact starters instead of one. You take that deal everytime.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Shocking that Jermaine Johnson is still available. He’s the biggest discrepancy in value so far. Dude was being hyped and mocked to go as high as 4 overall.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Silly Ravens, why use the 25th pick on the best center in the 2022 draft when the Vikings would have traded them the best center in the 2019 draft for a 7th?
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 I think the Jets are moving up (their third 1st!) for Johnson. But there's still plenty of defensive talent left for the Vikings with so many WRs and OLs flying off the board.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 I had never heard about Johnson’s “personality” concerns.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Happy for the kid from Eden Prairie. The Jets get the guy they probably considered taking at 10 overall.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Willis will be there at 32… Has the hate gone too far to take him?
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Well, there goes Lloyd, would've loved to land him.

I mean, with Cousins still here, MN would probably be HIS best fit. Not that he’s necessarily MN’s best fit. I have long wanted an athletic QB though.
