Nice show.  John, your microphone was a little muffled.  Nick's and Seth's voices came over fine on the podcast.

Homer Bailey is definitely not ready. Living up to his name. Or more worrisome.... this is just what Bailey is and will be. I know..... I know..... just an exhibition.......

I was not excited by Homer and this did nothing to win me over.

Difference in the game - Homer kept his slop up....and the Cubs kept their slop down and away [fooling most of the Twins batters].

 

Rosario looks in mid-season form. Might need to move him up in the order and ride it for a bit. The lineup is so awesome on paper....don't want to miss any half inning of Twins hitting [no matter what part of the order is up].

 

For some reason, I did not mind the lack of a crowd [i thought I would]. Though, I was glad they piped in some crowd noise.

I knew there'd be some "sky if falling" posts already, but really all we learned last night is that Lester is a better pitcher than Bailey. And if that shocks you, then maybe you're not watching much baseball.

Question. Is the DL list different if it's before the season. In other words, Can Odorman come back when ready instead of waiting 15 days?

They should be able to back-date it several days... not sure how that works in the weird reality that is 2020. Normally, it would back-date to his last appearance, whenever that was.
