deanlambrecht Verified Member Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Oh, that's just awful, awful news.
righty8383 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 After seeing the picture of a happy Pat Neshek and his wife along with a seemingly healthy baby, and then hearing the baby passed unexpectadly makes me want to cry. It sucks how unfair life can be. So sorry for Pat and his family.
snepp Verified Member Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I saw that earlier tonight. Having just celebrated my boys' birthday it makes me ill thinking about it. I couldn't even begin to imagine how awful it is.
biggentleben Verified Member Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Absolutely horrible news. Just when you would think life is on an upswing, a tragedy happens. Definitely praying for his wife and the rest of their family.
John Bonnes Site Manager Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 This breaks my heart. Healing prayers go out to Pat and Stephanee.

gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Wow, rough. Thoughts and prayers, too.
StormJH1 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Feel absolutely terrible about this news. Always admired Neshek, and can't imagine the heartbreak of carrying to term, and then winning a division, watching the birth of your child, and then....this....within the period of a day. Deepest sympathies for the Nesheks.
Musk21 Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 What a devastating thing to have happen. I can't even imagine. Certainly puts things in perspective.
TheBaseballGeek Provisional Member Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 My heart breaks for them. I can't even begin to imagine what they're going through. Thoughts definitely with Pat and his family.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Not that this matters at all, but I hope the A's can make a long run in the playoffs and Neshek can be a part of it, again, not that it makes things better or whatnot but I hope he can at least see a little bit of joy/happiness in the near future. Jesus, I can't even imagine how brutal that would be. To go from the first 23 hours of your life to the worst days of your life. I wouldn't wish that upon anyone.
ashbury Verified Member Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 An emoticon for a post title really left me blindsided by the horrible news it contained. Don't do it that way, please.
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I was lucky enough to be in my car when I first heard the news on Reusse and Mackey.
