Badsmerf Verified Member Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Totally talking to myself here... These dink and dunk plays are bull****. They don't work, and don't do anything for the offense. One knock against cousins, he dumps too often to players that aren't open. Watch Rodgers or Brady, they only dump when they have to, and it is to players that are open.

Badsmerf Verified Member Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Eagles facing 4th and 20, Zimmer calls a time out for them.Stupid. Let them try. No reason to burn one there.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Stupid. Let them try. No reason to burn one there. Its a waste of a time-out when it’s starting to look like you might actually need it. The defense should know not to jump, which is I’m guessing why he called it, to remind them.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 do we have a kicker or not? We’ll find out.. (Hope Robinson is ok)
Badsmerf Verified Member Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Need some plays here at the end by the defense. No timeouts for the Eagles. Stop then and it's over.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Eagles will need to execute an on-side kick regardless, but play some D anyway here
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Well, pretty exciting as far as unsuccessful on-side kicks go, as Thielen corrals the bad bounce like an infielder and secures the win.
Badsmerf Verified Member Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Much needed win here. Defense looked better, offense still clicking. Vikings earned this win in a tough place to win.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 It's a good win. You beat the Super Bowl champs, on the road, in a tough place to play. Most of us thought this game would be a loss and the team would be sitting at 3-2 or 2-3 at this point. So things are ok for this team. But they have to go out and stomp AZ next week. Losing to Buffalo may be something we look back at as a playoff seeding blow to our chances. Can't have another one happen next week against a bad football team.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Two losses in three tough road trips..... Stupid Buffalo
Doomtints Verified Member Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 A much needed and unsurprising win. The Vikes tend to win these regular-season rematches after they get bounced out of the playoffs. I'd rather they win in the playoffs instead, but whatever. They still have some work to do but they are on the right track.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Admittedly I was only partially listening to the game while out enjoying the day. Hopefully Reiff's foot injury isn't serious... Didn't hear the broadcasters say O'Niell's name out there which is the best compliment you can give an OL.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 They gave the line a lot of help but O'Neill looked good when I paid attention to him.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 I feel a lot better about the defense which means I feel a lot better about the team. They looked pretty stout until they went to cover-2 prevent that last drive. Wentz was good too, he made plenty of nice throws and escaped some dicey situations; his line was bad but the QB wasn't giving away possessions with poor decisions and sloppy play. So it's not like the D got a break facing a good QB who was having an off day. I want the Buffalo game back and I want the crack at the go ahead TD against LA back, but all in all 2-2-1 isn't too bad with their schedule thus far. And after this stretch, national expectations are drastically reduced. The NFC North isn't particularly tough either; if they have their act together now I like where the Vikings are at. Let the Rams keep carrying this ridiculous banner that they're far and away the best team in the NFC; I don't want that banner.
