Chip Scoggins talked to former Twins OF and current Yankees star CF Aaron Hicks about his struggles adjusting to the big leagues and believes that the Twins and their fans need to remain patient with Byron Buxton:

“I still think he’s going to be a great player,” Hicks said. “It’s going to come. He’s too good of an athlete, too good of a player to not succeed in the big leagues. It’s just being patient with him. It’s all about finding that confidence in himself and his abilities.

Twins completely dropped the ball with Hicks. First they didn't trade him when he was in the minor leagues and teams were asking for him as part of packages to get real talent in here like Cliff Lee. Then, we he finally starts doing something good for our club, we trade him away for a terrible player in Murphy.

Buxton may or may not pan out. But at this point, you stick it out with him almost no matter what. The time has passed for trading him.
