Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Okay, at the game today, too. No one commented how I got the date wrong in yesterday’s thread. Is this one televised? I thought I read that Dick n Bert were getting it warmed up for the season, but may that’s for Sunday’s game. Better lineup for the Twins today but I’m not sure I recognize many names on the Astro’s lineup card. Looking forward to Lance Lynn pitching. Here you go:
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 TV: FSNO (unsure if DickBert calling or simulcast with radio guys) Radio: TIBN, MLB.com Sunday's game is also on FSN
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Also, Derek Fisher is playing RF for the Astros? Former head coach of the Knicks and Laker legend Derek Fischer? lol
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Interesting how Rosario has become the cleanup hitter. I suppose that's just to get him more at-bats since he was out for a while. I'd rather expect to see Morrison there come Opening Day.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2018 Author Posted March 23, 2018 Is Morrison really going north as #99?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2018 Author Posted March 23, 2018 And just so you all don’t feel so bad for not being here, it’s really chilly sitting watching this game. Of course my seats are in the shade. Wouldn’t be quite so bad in the sun.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2018 Author Posted March 23, 2018 Looks like there are pitchers starting to warm up in the BP. Forgot my binoculars so can’t tell who’s warming up.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2018 Author Posted March 23, 2018 try squinting really hard!Lol. Considering the distance between me and the BP not sure that would help. But I’ll give it a try.

Sano is not looking smooth at all, in my view and like he has gained girth, since Spring training started.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2018 Author Posted March 23, 2018 Two errors in a row ...
Blake Verified Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Lynn seems to like putting runners on base. Hopefully, Lynn continues to crush opponents hopes after he raises them.

Of course my seats are in the shade. Wouldn’t be quite so bad in the sun. Some of us are working, or, at least, pretending to. While some people are telling us not to be jealous, because even though they're outside watching baseball, they're not truly enjoying it because, well, it's a little chilly. Nice try.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2018 Author Posted March 23, 2018 Twins bats need to get connecting. And Mike? Looks like Pressly.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2018 Author Posted March 23, 2018 Lynn seems to like putting runners on base. Hopefully, Lynn continues to crush opponents hopes after he raises them.To be fair, Lynn didn’t put the two on last inning.

Sano's weight, and any semblance of commenting negatively about it, is very dangerous ground in these here parts. Godspeed.

It’s the assumptions about his work ethic and desire and dedication and his professionalism that many jump to without any insight or knowledge that gets cautioned against.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Is Morrison really going north as #99?Sure, why not? He's listed as such on the official team web site.
Jerr Verified Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 No infielders on the left side for Morrison
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2018 Author Posted March 23, 2018 Sure, why not? He's listed as such on the official team web site.I just don’t recall any Twins player with that high of a number. Well, or a number higher than 60s.
Jerr Verified Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Sure, why not? He's listed as such on the official team web site.I believe he addressed that in the game yesterday and said he was.
Blake Verified Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 To be fair, Lynn didn’t put the two on last inning.Okay, cool. Nice to know he's able to work out of a jam like that.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2018 Author Posted March 23, 2018 Okay, cool. Nice to know he's able to work out of a jam like that.Yeah that last inning he had two outs and then there was an E5 followed by an E6
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Quite a few players have worn 0 and 00. Wonder if MLB would allow any other 2-digit numbers with 0 as the first digit. For example, say the Twins acquire a veteran who has worn number 6 his whole career and wanted to continue that could they issue a uniform with 06 on the back?
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 I just want names on the backs, so when I happen to catch a random game in a bar or brewery or whatever, I have some idea who is up/playing. Does any other sport not have names there? (professional....)
