I don't think I would. Even though that's the going rate now thanks to Sammy Watkins and Brandon Cooks. At this point I guess play out the contract year and see if he's as awesome as we hope with Cousins.

Devastating to lose someone that young (two years older than me!).

 

I've gone to urgent care/ER three times with chest pains....each time, it was nothing. And it cost me a TON OF MONEY. Each time, I debated even going. It's too bad they couldn't figure out how to help him this time.

It's a lot of money, I'm not sure I'd have done it.  But as a fan?  I can't complain.

 

Plus, the Vikings really seem to know their stuff on the salary cap.

The best part is his contact doesn't start until next season, so the Vikings still have ~ $10MM in CAP space that they will be able to roll over to next season.

Wow. They really manage the cap well, but still seems high. I may not like how they prioritize the OL, but they do other things well!

Bargain, IMO.

He's an elite WR. Numbers haven't matched up, but he's been on teams with other good options, and never had great QB's.

#1 in all of football last year in contested catches, and if you extrapolate his stats out to 150 targets (what he'd get on a team without another top WR option), he'd put up 108 catches, 1300 yards, 13 TD per year.

1998 still hurts today. I was convinced they were SB champs in 2009. So many things went against the Vikes that game, legal and illegal.

2009 hurts too, but I put 1998 higher on the "hurt" list.  They felt like they were playing on a completely different level than anyone else in the NFL.  They were doing things never before seen in football.  Everything felt like they were the dominant force.

 

They were good in 2009, but never felt that good to me.

Yes, because pre-season is a complete waste of time where nobody actually plays anyway. How long will he be in, a 3-and-out?

No way should they be interested in him. Or any team... He's got serious mental problems. Bipolar or maybe early onset CTE.

Yea zero interest in incognito. I wouldn't mind the Vikings trying to trade for more OL help because they could use the depth but not this guy.

I mean, he might be.  There is a lot of smoke, but is he?  The original accuser about bullying has demonstrated some pretty significant mental health issues and that's the main point against him....no?

 

I think the Vikes should do a lot of checking first (and maybe they have, hence Zimmer's reaction), but I'm not certain we can draw that conclusion.  And, unfortunately, there are a lot of bad guys we root for every Sunday unbeknownst to us.

 

If you're looking for other options to immediately help the OL....you won't find any nearly as talented as Incognito.  Doesn't mena you have to do it, but that's just the reality.

Yeah probably. They need training camp depth so no harm in seeing if they can fill the void.

 

I've been reading good things about Aviante Collins who was a rookie depth guy last season. Evidently he can play both guard and tackle.

Joeckel was awful for Seattle last year.  Evans wasn't particularly good for GB last year either.  

 

I guess you call them?  I'm guessing Compton is our LG for Week 1,but I'd like to see Isiodora or Gossett in there by the end of the year.  Maybe Berger has been staying fresh just in case?
