That would be a great spot, if you could figure out traffic.

Right next to Amtrak. It might be easier to get there from Salem than from Beaverton or SE Portland.

At this point in the season, I'd normally be ecstatic and say a win is a win, but it was a really annoying game from beginning to end. Rosario (who Dick constantly reminds us hits lefties as well as righties), Kepler, and Mauer ALL needed the day off? Give me a break. This is a postseason race.

And the pitching moves of taking three guys who spent a good amount of time in Rochester was not very inspiring.

It ended up working out today but I certainly don't feel good about how this game played out or was managed from beginning to end.

Given Snell's drastic splits, I don't think I would have done anything different with the lineup.  Maybe Garver instead of Goodrum or Vargas.

The pitching is what it is at this point.  The newer guys for the most part are doing better than the veterans. The only guys that haven't been in AAA this year are Duffey, Rogers and Belisle.  I really don't think that there is any dispute that the top 4 guys in the pen are Belisle, Rogers, Hildenberger and Busenitz.  After that, it gets dicey.  Boshers gave up a HR today, but he has been very effective vs LHB his entire career.  Clearly Molitor has some faith in Pressly and a little less in Duffey.  And that's kinda where they are at.  They can be good.  Or not.  No consistency, which is disappointing at this point in their careers - especially Pressly.  It doesn't appear that Molitor has any confidence to use anyone else in a winnable game.  I'd say that's a pretty accurate assessment.  Blame Falvine for not supplying better relievers, but I honestly don't feel I would have made any substantial moves differently given the game circumstances.

And the fact that it did work, matters IMO.

also, this. there is zero room for a stadium other than the western suburbs, and no one in the city likes to go there. PDX, can you imagine trying to drive on 26 after a baseball game? Ouch.

Yep. Used to live in Seaside and Beaverton. No likey 26.

Since I am not a superstitious person, I don't mind noting that the Twins have given up leads of 1, 2, and 3 today, and now have a 4 run lead.

This may be an example of "if at first you don't succeed, try, try, and try again."

a cynic could say the same about portland at large!

Well, I'm spoiled because I have a one-mile walk to school in the morning. :)
