Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Ask Aggies. He loves BK.I used to. Their tenders used to be the bomb.com
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 LOVE watching Colon. He does well and has fun doing so. I'm in favor of he and Santana both on the staff for next season BECAUSE of experience, production, leadership, and the damn fun they seem to have! (Well...fun in Colons case at least). To each his own. Hey - maybe Nathan could come on board, too! And the original Johan Santana next year! Santana squared!
spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 (edited) You know what I (cautiously optimistically) think? I think we are seeing the emergence of a team that will seriously contend for several years starting next year. Gotta get a starter or two and a closer, but I think our lineup can give opposing teams fits. Edited August 26, 2017 by spinowner DocBauer and Craig Arko 2
spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 You ate at BK????????There's one near work. I'll drive thru there maybe a couple times a month for lunch.
jimmer Verified Member Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Yeah. Nothing special.Thanks. I don't eat fast food, but I like Chicken Parm so I was curious.

Darius Verified Member Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Tonight was a great display of just how Buxton can take over a game without even swinging a bat. He's turning into quite the player. Watching him progress this year has been awesone. Blake, Craig Arko, spinowner and 1 other 4
Darius Verified Member Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 This may have been mentioned, or maybe it's wrong, but did they really only record 1 K, and not until the 9th? And they only gave up 1 run? Interesting.

I actively avoid Olive Garden.I've heard they get meals prepackaged and just defrost or heat some of their main meals up.

If you live in an area with decent Italian restaurants, there's no excuse to go to OG
Blake Verified Member Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Yep, I heard that too. If you live in an area with decent Italian restaurants, there's no excuse to go to OGThe only reason to go to Olive Garden is to remind yourself of why you avoided the place to begin with. Uggh.

Uggh. For some reason, three going away lunches at Olive Garden have been held for people in my office in the last year. I get soup and salad. Never order an actual meal.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 In other news, I will be seeing my new avatar-sake Buck Showalter in person tonight at Fenway. I think I have no particular rooting interest, and just ask for a good game.It was not. 13-3 in favor of the visiting Orioles. The Red Sox had more errors (5) than runs, and for a while more errors than hits (6). The O's failed to cover themselves in glory, by committing 3 errors of their own, but they just banged out hit after hit against a defenseless* Porcello. On the plus side, the Sox fans were in a party mood on a beautiful summer night in Boston, and Sweet Caroline has as much poignancy when the home team is far behind in the eighth inning as when they're ahead. * Pick either meaning you want, the pitcher himself or his supporting cast.
