nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 The radio had an interview with the new head of research and development. I caught that he was 30, that he was from Cleveland but not much else as I was only in the car tasked with picking up food. Anyone hear him? And did he sound like the statistical genius we've been clamoring for?
Jerr Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 If you were alive in the summer of '75, you were jammin' to this nugget... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jXSKksI8PkTHANKS, I was looking for that one!!!! luckylager 1
Jerr Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 And probably the biggest seller that had "from the lakes of MINNESOTA" and may we all come together and stop all this bickering that is going on in this country.....
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Technically, I'll allow that since the 'Blues Highway' runs through MN. I will also mention 'Desolation Row,' from the same album, as I interpret the first verse of that one as a historical reference to the 1920 Duluth Lynchings.I'm actually old enough to remember when the highway from Duluth to Canada was US 61, instead of state highway 61.
Dantes929 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Well if mentions in songs count then "my brothers lives were different for they heard another call. One went to Chicago and the other to St. Paul" Point for the first to name the song. If mentions don't count then there is this one.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 wha???? No mention of "The Biggest Ball Of Twine" - Weird Al Yankovic "What They Do In Minnesota" - The Six Fat DutchmenKids today, just don't appreciate the classics.
