Anthony Recker Outrighted

The #MNTwins announced that Anthony Recker has been outrighted to AAA. He was acquired earlier in the week with Jaime Garcia for Huascar Ynoa.

 

Makes a lot of sense. 

 

The Twins have gone from 5 catchers to 3 catchers in approximately 25-26 hours.

And a decent chance they're down to 2 within a couple weeks.

Was thinking Garver would come to MLB, but releasing Rohlfing (sp?) leaves AAA with a shortage of catchers and available backups (from AA), does it not?

As of right now...

 

AAA: Garver, Recker

AA: Paulino and Brian Navarreto (looks like he was called back up today)...

 

Brian Olson was hurt early in the year, but he's been rehabbing in FM. He could come up to either of those teams in a pinch.

Or a call-up (Curtiss, Reed, Slegers, even Rucinski, Tonkin 2.0, etc.). Eventually Perkins could need a spot again, but that's probably a few weeks away...

I forgot how many guys it would be nice to see that are not on the 40 man.
