diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 given that I am in Detroit this week, I kind of wish this was an away game.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Any reason given for Mauer getting back-to-back days at 1B, Morneau at DH? They winding Mauer down at C to save his legs for the future?
James Verified Member Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Any reason given for Mauer getting back-to-back days at 1B, Morneau at DH? They winding Mauer down at C to save his legs for the future? It might have more to do with Mornie needing a little break more than Joe needing time away from catcher. I could be completely wrong though too.
Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 It's a testament to the catching awesome-ness of Doumit. Drew is on the team why? Oh yeah, team cheerleader.
Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Span out another game. Give them about 4 or 5 more before they decide to DL him.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 14, 2012 Author Posted August 14, 2012 Span out another game. Give them about 4 or 5 more before they decide to DL him. Given what I read this morning, it's not terribly surprising. Why rush him back? May as well be careful with him.

The mini-slump he has been in the last few weeks could be the indicator of that.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Span out another game. Give them about 4 or 5 more before they decide to DL him. There are 18 days until the roster expand. The team is out of the race and Denard will have plenty of opportunities to show he's healthy in September. Call up Parmelee and play him in right, why not?
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Does Duensing get through 3? I vote no.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I'm on the edge of my seat, does Duensing go wind-up or stretch....chills.

They winding Mauer down at C to save his legs for the future? Is it possibly that Gardy is riding a hot streak by putting out the same lineup? Dozier is sitting a second straight day, I don't think that has happened since his recall.

Twins GFP Verified Member Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I'll be positive and say 6IP / 3R. Go quality start!

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 SO Cabrera, get Fielder to tap out and fall behind 2-0 to Peralta and serve up a meatball, maddening!

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 For God's sake just bring up Hendriks and get Duensing back to the pen, he's not a starter, for crying out loud!
snepp Verified Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 And another ill advised dive. It's Torii Hunter appreciation night.

Try convincing the braintrust here of that. Dunce's SP ERA is in Blackie territory. What a horrible decision to put him in the rotation. This is embarassing, OK, not Nishi-embarassing, just Blackie-level ineptitude embarassing. Did anyone read Gardy's lips there after Jackson's AB? Not fit for family viewing.
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 For God's sake just bring up Hendriks Can't, he's working on some top secret super pitch that can only be taught at AAA.
