OK, smart guys...here's another one for yous.

My dryer has multiple settings for various levels of dry. It has a timed-dry option, more dry, less dry, and finally, it has an 'optimum dry.'

Why do we have the other settings when we have optimum?! Why would anyone choose anything but optimum?

Optimum with respect to what?

Craig, man, let's not make this even more complicated. It says 'optimum,' what else is there to think about?

I think there's a cabinet position with your name on it. :)

That's a good question. I guess if you have to leave in 20 minutes, you could set it to 19 minutes to remember to empty it, and set the stuff flat/hung to finish drying.

I use the equivalent of optimum dry, personally.

5 innings was enough for me, boring but did get to see Granite.

...rats! I was hoping you could give us a first-hand account of how the outing went for our new favorite Romero! Hope you are feeling back to normal soon :)!

How did he look?

had to move quickly as I figured it was only a matter of time before someone else jumped on that one.

Five times as many hits today as yesterday. In 4-5 days, they'll have all the hits!

it's math, duh.

Are we talking everyone or are we averaging the hits among all the players?

Dude, that joke is a page old at least.... :)

And yet it feels much older than that ...

Interesting.  First at bat routine grounder to 2nd and made it close.  Got our first hit of the game next time up. Tried to steal on first pitch and got gunned down. He showed some spark anyway.

Here's something to think about:

At almost every gas pump in the world, there are three options. There's regular, middle, and premium.

Has anyone ever gotten the middle option? What's even in there?
It's simply marketing. If you don't work it to hard, anything runs on 87 octane, even my HOG. Some companies use 89 as a good product to up the retail, with little added cost of product. And premium (91-92) comes in two varieties. With or without ethanol. The only thing I keep away from ethanol is my two cycle engines. And if possible, and if I had one, I would avoid it in old collector vehicles. Their gaskets and old gas tanks don't get along with ethanol that well. Almost all grades are blends of the different grades to make the math come out. For example ethanol adds about 2.8 points of octane, so a lot of 87 is 90% 84 and 10% E. And almost all premium includes at least 2 different grades and E. All gas is the same, it's the additves injected at the loading terminal that make it branded. This is about 7 gallons of additves to around 8700 gals. of product. And no, stations do not add water to their tanks! In about 3 hours it would sink to the bottom, taking along all the ethanol with it. And that ain't cheap to correct!

I'll take it for his first extended playing time this spring.
