7 Wonders (my favorite, because I never use the same strategy)

Dungeons and Dragons (need a new group now that I've moved)

Settlers of Catan

Carcassonne (mostly vs the AI, great app)

Jaipur (great 2 person game)

Ticket to Ride (only vs the AI, great app)

Splendor (only vs the AI, another great app)

Keith Law has a great, great, list of his top 100 games (he reviews them for Paste). He also has a list of this top 2 person games, and a link to apps.....

Too bad ... but cribbage ... I'm a master

I think my wife's winning percentage vs me in Cribbage is around 95%. Doesn't matter what happens, she counts it out first by a point or two, no matter what I do.

The first two times I played Catan I won. No such luck since but it's a fun game

Ticket to ride is a recent favorite of my sister, with the tablet version managing the details and tallying scores and what not.

I played cribbage with Grandpa, amd traditionally offer to teach it whenever i am in an AMC hut with friends who don't know it.

Euchre club had a motorhead short design, and i ended up fielding more music compliments and conversations for which i was ill-prepared.

I like the stories of my father and uncle playing as partners in duplicate bridge tournaments. As i understood it, there was no middle ground, either they made all the brilliamt plays no one else did and ran away with it, or they missed all the easy plays everyone got and came in last. But that probably came through the filter of what makes a good story...

Oh yeah, merry christmas and all that jazz!

Duplicate Bridge is a cutthroat game. I love it.
