Setting the framework for a potential Dozier trade

Dozier is from Mississippi.

Dick N Bert mentioned on several broadcasts that Dozier's family would drive to Braves games when he was a youngster. That was his childhood team.

Darren Wolfson, in his most recent podcast, said that the Dodgers and the Braves spoke to the Twins this past week regarding a potential Dozier trade at some point.

I've looked at the Dodgers prospects a LOT lately thinking about certain scenarios, but not as much the Braves. What would a Dozier to the Braves trade look like? How about this...

1) Mike Foltynewicz, 25 years old (will be 26 next October) and pitched this year up in Atlanta. He has a HUGE fastball, and would very easily step right into the Twins rotation.

2) Touki Toussant, their #10 overall prospect, and he was a big part of the Shelby Miller trade from AZ.

3) Kyle Muller, their #12 prospect, 2nd round pick in 2016 out of high school.

I first take the thought of Dozier to the Braves with a grain of salt, but Jon Heyman is reporting that the Braves have also spoken to the White Sox about Chris Sale. If the Braves are wanting to win-now while moving into a new ballpark, the Twins could really get some good prospects for Dozier.

What do you think? Would you go for other prospects than what I listed?

Toussant was not a part of the Shelby Miller trade. He was sold to the Braves (Dbacks took on the Arroyo contract)

You are right, my bad. Still, man, Arizona was pretty dumb in both transactions.

How about Brian Dozier and prospects for Chris Sale and let the Twins think about winning now?  Get your ACE with solid number 2 (Santana) and potentials behind them.

I would be ALL about this if Chris Sale was pitching for an NL team. Facing Dozier and the prospects they are giving up (which will be plenty) 19 times a year doesn't sound as enjoyable.

Why in the hell would the White Sox trade Chris Sale for a 30 yo with 2 years left on his deal?

They wouldn't. But they would for Dozier and our top 4-5 prospects.

So then why would the Twins include Dozier?  I'm all for hypothetical trades but this one is utter nonsense.

I'm not advocating for a Twins to Sale trade. I'm wanting to trade Dozier for prospects. Other people want the Twins to trade for Sale, and I don't know if that is the right move at this time.

Why are the Sox trading their ACE for a win now guy, if they are blowing things up?

The guy we are trading to them is not a win now guy but prospects and maybe a helpful vet so they don't completely suck.

I did say prospects.  Sale is the main piece here.  Dozier and some key prospect(s) is the reality I'm talking about.  Chicago is trying to get younger and not still suck.  Dozier helps with that (some).

Why would the Twins include Dozier if they are trying to win now by trading the farm for Sale?
