I have genuine sympathy for Gibson. It has to be incredibly frustrating for him when his command just comes and goes like that. It's often hard for him to find it while warming up; it deserts him in these middle innings. He battles, but in the end the lack of command is what does him in, and it doesn't seem like a failure of will on his part.
