There would have been a time in April where I would have been worried about the lead being blown in the last couple of innings, but instead tonight

Very encouraging start for Berrios. Yes, he got hit hard in the 1st inning but after that gave up 1 hit in his final 5 innings plus no runs. I also like that he showed better control with 0 walks in his 6 innings of work.

He didn't really get hit hard.

Well, I mean he did give up a double and 3 hits and 3 runs in the first inning. Thats what I meant. But Berrios impressed me.

Encouraging to see Suzuki go to the mound to calm down Berrios.

 

Remember the debacle in Houston re:  Berrios and Meyer?  No catcher, no coach ever went to the mound to calm them down.
