Best Food or Beverage Deal at Target Field

Now that the hopes of the team seem more like hopelessness, the food and drinks become more important in the Target Field Experience. Therefore, I should inform the Twin-minions that I have discovered a food item that is actually a good deal for Ballpark food.  In the Legends area, one can purchase three Steak Tacos for $9.00, as you watch the somewhat cranky but proficient cook prepare it,  It's at the same location where one can also order Brats and Polish Sausages (also tasty but not as good of a financial deal).   There are restaurants which would charge as much or more for these tacos.   They are pretty tasty as well, but WARNING: get plenty of napkins..   I don't know if these tacos are sold elsewhere at Target Field.

By the way, the last time I discovered a "Good Deal" at a Twins game was at the old Metrodome, where one could ask the "volunteers" to serve the margaritas without ice.   The resulting MUCHO GRANDE triple Margarita was a reasonable deal for the asking price at the time.

Are there any other reasonable deals out there to make the $10 craft beer price and the lousy won-loss record more palatable???  I have tickets for seven more games!!!

I don't go to many games so I'm not an expert on offerings there, but once I got a Kramarchuk's brat and told them I'd take as much sauerkraut as they were allowed to give me. The little paper tray thing was heaped with kraut to the point where the brat was barely visible and it was delish!

Target Field actually lets you bring your own food in as long as the food is not throwable (an orange would have to be sectioned) and the container fits under your seat and would not knock somebody unconscious if you whacked them with it. (Think small soft-sided cooler) Other than that, nothing keeping you from having the free and tasty vast repast of your choosing at the ballpark. For the A's series, try whipping up a little muffuletta with ham, salami, provolone, mortadella and olive salad. For desert, bring along some smoky gouda with grapes. For munching, there's nothing like Snyder's of Hanover Butter Snap pretzels with your beer.

You'll still have to buy a beverage or two, but you can now justify it with the money you saved on food.

The original post was the result of my shock that there is something offered at Target Field which is actually arguably "a good deal."  Unfortunately, the dollar a dog nights feature below average hot dogs in my skin-on opinion.   So, my traditionalist sensibilities are challenged at the Legends Taco Bar.  If Max Kepler continues to play well, I see many years of Bratwurst promotions.

If you prefer soda to beer, you can actually get a free drink coupon at the "Good Sport" Designated Driver booths near sections 130 and 222.

You can also bring in sealed bottled water (or sealed kid's juice boxes), or an empty water bottle to fill at a drinking fountain.

I generally agree, although if you visit the right concession, they can give you a container of sauerkraut to garnish your dog, which makes it much more edible in my opinion.  (I only wish sauerkraut and onions were stocked at the condiment stations like at the Metrodome...)

You can also sign up for designated driver and get a cup of water instead of soda - I don't think they are allowed to give cups out if you don't have the coupon though. They have regular water on the fountain taps at Target Field but apparently not at all ballparks (I asked if they had water on their fountain tap with my DD coupon at Citi Field and the lady looked at me like I was crazy.) I have brought lots of food into the stadium. The other thing that I have tried that is reasonably priced are the beef tacos - I think you get two for $6 and they are tasty.

My wife and I do this frequently, especially this year since we're "boycotting" the concessions.  It comes in handy when we don't have the opportunity to grab a bottled water somewhere else and want something to sip on through the game.

I have a strict "No Onomatopoeia" rule when it comes to food and drink.

Yeah, who calls beef moo, pork oink, or turkey as gobble gobble? Having lived out of state for a number of years I realized how silly and childish referring to soft drinks as "pop" sounded.

It's like calling your navel a belly button. It's not dignified.
