Works for me...

 

My take aways from it all involve diminutive descending convicts and developing polaroids in arctic conditions, both of which encourage patience. So i'm just glad the winning pitcher pitched for us.

Heh.....I was mocking the win stat, frankly......

 

guy has a 9.00 ERA for the game, completely fails at his job, and gets the "win" stat. Ridiculous.

Not completely...

He could have given up another run.

 

But yeah, there is inherently information lost with simplifications like statistics.

 

You did indeed pick a good example of the stat not meaning quite what you want it to mean.

 

On another note, is the rumor true? If i find a place to watch, i will be able to see Berrios pitch? And without driving to Rochester?

Well the "Holding" pitcher made us eat our words for one night so we couldn't complain about him this time.

 

Is it wrong that I'm a little disappointed that Fein, who hasn't struck anyone out in two years, made Molitor's decision to call on him in a situation where a strikeout was needed work? I mean, that had no business paying off right?
