The Twins could easily lose more games than last year. There is no guarantee they will ultimately exceed expectations for the season.

While they could lose more games than last year, I wouldn't say it would be an easy task.

 

The 2014 Twins went 70-92.  The 2015 Twins are currently 32-23.  Which means to have MORE losses than last year they would have to finish from here on out with a 37-70 record, which would equate to playing .346 baseball, which equates to a 106 loss team over a full season.

Yeah I guess that would be tough.

 

But the larger point is just that there's so much season left that a lot of outcomes, including bad outcomes, are possible.

And can we please work the roster to a point where Shane Robinson, if he must be in the lineup, at least gets pinch hit for down 1 with no outs in the 8th?

I was just wondering if pinch hitting has been outlawed in MN? It sure seems that way.

Wanna bet? I'd love to be wrong, but if they didn't cut him by now, there's no reason to think it's coming.

Stauffer won't be a Twin come Monday.

If Dick/Bert is correct, after Suzuki's DP, team now 1 for 18 off the bench. No wonder Molitor doesn't pinch hit. This roster was misconstructed from the beginning. Playing losing teams, and having that "pixie dust" hid it, but over a season it's going to bite you in your gluteus Maximus!
