If the Playoffs Began Today

[ScottyB]

The AL playoffs as of the morning of June 5

Wildcard: Tampa Bay at KC

Wildcard winner at Houston

Damn Yankees at Minnesota

Just our luck.  Let's hope that the Red Sox turn things around and leap into first place so the curse of the Yankees ends!

At least 3 months before I start to think about this.

If the playoffs began today... the season would have ended far too early.

Yankee Phobia is alive and well!

I'd actually look forward to seeing May and Tanaka match up.

Meh, these aged Yankees don't frighten me in the least.  Old history.

I generally don't start watching the scoreboards closely until Father's Day...

Both of them just pitched two days ago.  The hypothetical playoffs start TODAY, remember?    So it's Gibson vs. Eovaldi.

For Game 2 tomorrow, do we use JR Graham or Pelfrey on short rest?

Also, if the playoffs began today... a lot more people would understand why Ervin Santana wasn't eligible.

You make my head hurt.

It would be October, and I would have moved to the Pacific NW by now.
