ashbury Verified Member Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 !He throws lefty, he has a pulse, he's not on the 40-man, he had racked up 0.1 spring innings prior to this game. I can't get too worked up.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Here's one for Halsey to get worked up over: Plouffe is listed as shortstop for the 9th inning. / Oops, misread the gameday line: Plouffe at first base came out when Bernier came in at short.

I can't get too worked up.OK, I got a little worked up about him in the ninth inning. Now pitching, and failing to improve on the mess Ledezma laid, is D. J. Johnson. Daniel Stuart Johnson. Pitched at Fort Myers last year after being picked up from the Frontier League. I guess this really is a split squad game after all.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 Once the minor start coming in, the game is over. Twins won already, this is just tag on.
teekz Verified Member Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Once the minor start coming in, the game is over. Twins won already, this is just tag on. I'll go with that. Especially since Boston scored 3 in the 9th.

ashbury Verified Member Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Tied after 9. Do they play a tenth, or does Molitor send a written note to Farrell, "look, I had freekin' D. J. Johnson in there for the last inning, I got plenty more where that came from but do you really want any of it?"
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I'll go with that. Especially since Boston scored 3 in the 9th.I initially read this as: "I'll go with that. Especially since BUXton scored 3 in the 9th." Hey it's April Fool's day. A guy can dream.
NoCryingInBaseball Verified Member Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Game ended on a tie....might as well. only minor leaguers in the field and pitching.
teekz Verified Member Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 You know, the problem with the moral victories is they aren't going to win us the Mayor's Cup!
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Every player has a right to ask the nearest coach, "nothing I did in this game actually counted for anything at all, as far as making impressions goes, did it? I mean, look at the lineup when the game ended."
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Ran out of arms, it's ova!Not so. They ran out of arms in the 8th yet the game continued.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 I'll go with that. Especially since Boston scored 3 in the 9th.Teekz, that's why I said that.

Actually, as of today the record is 1-4-1 so if the Twins win the next 3 the series will end in a 4-4-1 tie.

I think you really showed the site owners what you can do when given a chance to moderate for a full nine innings. They keep saying they want to give the lefty one more look. I think it was always slated for me to be in the bullpen. Can a trade to Twinkie Town be worked out?
