If you like summer, that is summer. I wish it were like that everyday - although I should have used some sunscreen. No biggie, I was George Hamilton for a week.

That ball got from Vargas' bat to the left center wall on one hop almost before either OFer could react.

Yeah... I'm really not sure how Vargas wasn't ranked higher on the prospect list. He hits the ball too hard to not be ranked higher.

I'm often a fan of facial hair, but it can't be just chin hair. I'm not a fan of Amish chin beards.

Dang, this team could be so close. With any consistent good pitching, we flip one loss to a W once every 10 games and we're in the playoffs and the toast of baseball.

 

And yes, I picked the wrong week to give up sniffing glue. But I have a sense about this team going forward. That is all.

Why are there no Amish in Chicago? I assume there are not, since I have never seen one of their buggies on the Dan Ryan or Kennedy? Which brings up another sore spot........ How come they name the freeways there, I still don't know whether 290 is named after those guys, Alfred E. Neumann or the Rev Guido?
