There's a restaurant near me that serves this appetizer ... sort of an Asian equivalent to chips and guac ... is an edimame dip togarashi chips.  Is actually quite good.

Interestingly although I know that they and other types of soy are vegetables, I don't really consider them to be so.

 

My nieces are vegan.  Every time I am at their house, I come home and crave green, leafy vegetables.

Also, people tend to associate "soybeans" with animal food despite the popularity of "soy".

we both hate fake meat. My wife loves meat, but eats vegan to cut out the hormones

I think I could give up meat (and have done so for various periods of time) but I just can't give up dairy.  And although i don't use a dozen eggs in a month, I still want them when i bake.
