Cuddyer reminds me of David Justice, who would make an awkward, non-athlete play in the field or on the basepaths at least once a year that would result in missed time.

But even Cuddyer's weird calamities will never top Moises Alou's mega-awesome "I was standing in the outfield, and I heard something pop" injury.

I'm going to go walk the dog.

Wait another inning. If past performance is any indicator, Johnson will probably get around to walking your dog too pretty soon.

But you'll miss the final chapter of Kris Johnson:Major Leaguer.

To his credit, Johnson hasn't issued any walks yet.

He's been relying on his defense. Alas, Molitor can't shift a player into the stands...

At least the dog will enjoy the game!

So are there any more 30 year old rookies to pull up?

I'm sure they can dig up a couple.

Yeah, went with 'past performance' to make the bit work, but happy to see him lay off the six walks thing. Tonight Johnson looks more like a guy who's better off mixing in a ball or two.

Depends on whether it matters that they play the position they're going to for the Twins...

Shovel-ready prospects increasingly hard to find in the Twins system...

Well Deduno's looking pretty dang good this inning. That curveball is on.

Starting to think maybe Deduno might be the second coming of LaTroy Hawkins, who would look brilliant here and there as a starter, and dreadful other times. Tulo is one of the best hitters in baseball, and lucky not to have dislocated something on that swinging K.

Somewhere in Ohio, a sports fan is blogging that the LeBron signing inspired the Indians' rally over the ChiSox.

Just in case, can somebody get Deduno a hat for his bat?

Nice job by Escobar to keep the AB alive, even without the hit result.

It will be interesting to see how the Twins end up in terms of hitters' pitches per PA, and how that compares to other teams without much power.

Fuld is a piranha.

Pending a headfirst slide into the team bus, this looks like a yes.

Twin's Baseball is about to break out.

CDC alerted, and vaccine production is ramping up as we speak.

That's why Tulowitzki's among the best in the game. Oh, and that home run too. With due apologies to Escobar, I wish he was on our team.

Holy crap. That's a play that keeps a shortstop who OPS's what Tulo slugs on the roster.
