Twinsoholic Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Didn't Gibson recently give up a homer (not last game) after something did not go as hoped in the field? I make be confusing Gibson with another starter, but it seemed to me it was him.
MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I apologize for that. We had a power failure at work. It's causes major issues and killed my computer so I couldn't log on. finally got things back to normal and got home just in time for first pitch. The next eight innings will be ours. Hopefully the power outage doesn't put us in a too big of hole.
longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Gibson should not be allowed to golf the day before a start. This is looking like the last time he pitched after golfing in Tampa
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I don't know... "Play ball" is traditional. I bet i could come up with worse. Both to the game and the game thread... Got to admit... It was darn concise.

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Mike Berardino @MikeBerardino 2m Just the 2nd homer off Gibson this year. Miguel Cabrera had the other on 5/10 at DET. Seems like more, doesn't it?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 Got to admit... It was darn concise. And my stellar lead in was wasted. (Yes, I'm being sarcastic; I was running late when I finally got the lineups posted.)
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 How does Plouffe not have 2 errors? For sure one, he's a lucky guy.
longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Don't know for sure, but it looks like it. I'm here at ATT, and he looked really stiff in the bullpen pregame Edit: reply to question if he was at pebble beach with hicks
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I actually read it that way for a long time as well. I suppose it is only natural to see the word brain after reading his well-constructed essay style game thread starter posts as well as his shorter observations... or something like that... I once received an Email from way up high in the corporation. It was a congrats... Job well done... People like you make this company great email. It was high up the ladder... far enough that you'd never expect to get it. You'd never think he'd know your name. It was addressed to "Brain".
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Hicks apparently played with Joe Mauer's brother, Bill. And shot an 80 -- first time out at Pebble. Daddy apparently taught him well. No idea if Gibson played.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 And my stellar lead in was wasted. (Yes, I'm being sarcastic; I was running late when I finally got the lineups posted.) Well... At least we were still in sync.

Autocomplete? Some people are so good at it they don't even need a computer to do it for them... (And we got 2 on, so maybe we can get something back. I hope...)
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Well... At least we were still in sync. I want to know more about Chitown hanging on some guys boat.

'When the lights go down in the city, and the sun shines on the bay ...' If you're going to San Francisco... You're gonna meet some gentle people there. Gentle people with flowers in their hair.

Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I got one of those in my bathtub. The missus wont let me keep it there.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 I love San Francisco. It's one of my favorite cities. To be where little cable cars climb halfway to the stars.
longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Aww ... it's fun either way. You're right, chi. I got a little crabby after the Pablo dinger. Got the attitude adjusted now!
MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I got one of those in my bathtub. This is creepily ambiguous. What are we talking about?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 The missus wont let me keep it there. Did you tell her it works like a soap dish.
