Chance Provisional Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Congrats on your 3,800th post ChiTown! It's only fitting that that you have achieved this posting a Game Thread.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 Ha! I never noticed ... thanks, Chance!
drock2190 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Anyone notice the former Twins having a good game for the Blue Jays?
MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Not the greatest start to the game or game thread.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I walked in just as Dozier was getting caught between 2nd and 3rd. Ugh. But then that's what I get for making potato salad at 9:00 at night.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 You know what I just realized? That the backdrop on Gameday is the actual stadium they are playing at. Well, duh. What a moment of revelation.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Not the greatest start to the game or game thread. I draw energy fron Brian's musings on the line-up post. For a whole year I read his name as Riverbrain.

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 With or without mustard? Egg? Pimento or relish in it? Mustard, no egg, celery, pimento, no relish, Miracle Whip and some herbs, vinegar and sugar, salt and pepper. My cousins are moving one of my aunts from a house to a duplex tomorrow. We were supposed to pick her up about noon - thought we'd just take her out. But now one of her grandchildren is bringing her over at 9:30 a.m. so I invited one of her friends for lunch. And frankly, it was 85 degrees here today so it'll be potato salad, fruit salad and barbecue chicken sandwiches cuz I'm not up to anything in the oven regardless of A/C.
MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 This is the weirdest start to a game ever.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Not the greatest start to the game or game thread. I don't know... "Play ball" is traditional. I bet i could come up with worse. Both to the game and the game thread...
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 For a whole year I read his name as Riverbrain. I actually read it that way for a long time as well. I suppose it is only natural to see the word brain after reading his well-constructed essay style game thread starter posts as well as his shorter observations... or something like that...
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 On a platter. With first base open, that's a pretty unforgivable serving.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Based on the people jumping around, I'd say FAIR.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Dang. 4-0 already. Imagination is worse than reality.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 Omg. I hope that 85 hits here soon. Was just downright cold today. Hmmm, not an auspicious start for Gibson.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Not the greatest start to the game or game thread. I apologize for that. We had a power failure at work. It's causes major issues and killed my computer so I couldn't log on. finally got things back to normal and got home just in time for first pitch.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 Dang. 4-0 already.Where do you get 4? Is my feed that far behind?
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Omg. I hope that 85 hits here soon. Was just downright cold today. Hmmm, not an auspicious start for Gibson. We are in the mid-high 80's for the next 10 days assuming the forecast is somewhat correct. You've got to get it sometime.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 Hope by Sunday. Hanging on my friend's boat.
